Phil has been working as a composer/producer and keyboardist in the San Francisco Bay Area for
many years. The unique blending of melodic grooves and infectious rhythms makes his music a must-listen for fans of orchestral and jazz inflected music.
The debut album, "In the Hour of Shadows and Whispers," was a chart-topping success, featuring top-notch musicians from legendary bands Santana, Doobie Brothers, Tower of Power, and Huey Lewis and the News. The sultry soprano sax on the title track by Alex Murzyn has been a staple in Italy since its release.
The follow-up album, "Cruise Control," released on Bobby Caldwell's Sin-Drome label, has 5 million streams and counting on Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora.
The TV shows "NCIS" and "Damages,” in Europe, have featured his music as well as over 10,000 airings on The Weather Channel, worldwide.
Works extend beyond the realm of jazz reflected in three highly emotional pieces for orchestral treatment: "Avinu Malkeinu," "Hatikvah," and "Kol Nidre and Variations," showcasing great range as a composer.
